Schilling and Lowell would be nuts to leave Boston. One is looking for only another year and the other is hot off a WS-MVP award. The money will come, but not from South Philly.Anthonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08149741345181484820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7610014.post-9117443881220206912007-10-29T13:31:00.000-04:002007-10-29T13:31:00.000-04:00"The World Series ain't what it used to be."True e..."The World Series ain't what it used to be."<BR/><BR/>True enough for a myriad of reasons, but even though it was St. Louis won last year, a lot of the problem might well be traced to an uncanny imbalance between the two leagues. That's 3 AL sweeps in the last 4 years, and that can't be a coincidence. The NL had one team (one!) that won 90 games this year, and it was just 90 games at that. The neverending playoff series in October are still primarily responsible for the dimming of the World Series' luster, but the absence of competitive series for several seasons now has also seriously hurt the cause.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
